Bertrand, ein reicher Immobilienentwickler, führt ein ruhiges Leben, bis seine rechte Hand Christian beginnt, ihn zu erpressen. Er will, dass Bertrand sein Gehalt verdoppelt und ihn Colette, Bertrands Tochter und Christians Geliebte, heiraten lässt. Christian gibt auch zu, dass er Bertrand schon seit Jahren bestiehlt.
