Paulus Daedalus ist 29 Jahre alt und mit seinem Leben nicht zufrieden. Als Philosophischer Assistent an der Fakultät von Nanterre denkt er darüber nach, seine Arbeit aufzugeben; mit seiner Frau Esther gibt es seit Jahren Probleme.
