Paris, 1942. Sous l’occupation allemande, Marcel Martin est un honnête homme obligé de transporter des colis au marché noir pour gagner sa vie. Abandonné par son complice habituel, Marcel se retrouve à transporter des valises remplies de viande de porc avec un dénommé Grandgil. Celui-ci est un scélérat distingué qui va vite devenir incontrôlable.
