Un jeune étudiant en droit passe ses journées à flâner dans les rues du quartier Monceau. Il croise régulièrement une jeune femme blonde, dont il est persuadé d'être amoureux, mais qu'il n'ose aborder. Lors de ses ballades quotidiennes, il s'arrête toujours dans une boulangerie. Un jour, il décide de séduire la boulangère.
