Goto, Island of Love

The film"s page
A surreal invocation of totalitarism and tyranny, set on a vividly imagined, claustrophobic fortress island, where a perverse sadism rules, and love invariably threatens disasters. Borowczyk exhibits the savage eye of a former animator. But this is no cartoon Kafka, it’s not as comforting as that.
