Un célibataire trentenaire, misérable et souffrant d’insomnies à répétition, voit sa vie changer du jour au lendemain lorsqu’il fait la connaissance de Tyler, un jeune homme charismatique anarchiste. Ils décident ensemble de monter le Fight Club, un club de combats. Tyler en devient le leader avec le projet Chaos : telle une armée, ils veulent détruire la société capitaliste mais leur chef disparaît brusquement…  

Note : le film est adapté du roman éponyme de Chuck Palahniuk paru en 1996.
