Marion est photographe et vit à New-York avec son petit ami, Jack. Pour raviver leur couple, ils partent en voyage à Venise. Malheureusement, celui-ci est écourté quand Jack attrape une gastro-entérite. Ils partent alors pour Paris, où vivent les parents de Marion - ainsi que beaucoup de ses ex.

Note : Le film a une suite : Two days in New-York, sorti en 2012 et toujours réalisé par Julie Delpy.
