Allegra Geller donne une conférence pour parler de son nouveau jeu “eXistenZ” qui permet de plonger dans un monde parallèle. Mais tout dégénère lorsqu’un militant “anti-virtuel” attaque la conceptrice. Afin de vérifier que son jeu n’est pas endommagé, Allegra y emmène Ted Pikull, un employé chargé de la sécurité. La bataille continue ainsi dans le monde inquiétant d’eXistenZ.
