Frame by frame

Film restoration takes place out of sight, in the workshops of film archives and in the darkrooms of film labs. The Deutsche Kinemathek's exhibition "Frame by Frame" brings this craft to light and shows how we preserve not just well-known but also forgotten works of film history and return them to the screen  Two newly restored films are presented as examples of this craft.
