Avant de partir au Canada, le réalisateur Jo Moon-Kyeong rencontre son ami Bang Joong-sik, critique de cinéma, au pied d’une montagne en banlieue de Séoul, pour boire un verre. Ils finissent par se rendre compte que tous deux ont voyagé à Tongyeong, une petite ville au sud du pays, et décident de se raconter leurs expériences.
