Niccolo Farra, ein bekannter Filmemacher, ist auf der Suche nach einem neuen Gesicht für seinen nächsten Film. Er verliebt sich in Mavi, doch die junge Aristokratin wirkt distanziert. Ein Fremder fühlt sich zu der jungen Frau hingezogen und setzt Niccolo unter Druck, seine Affäre mit Mavi zu beenden, die daraufhin verschwindet. Niccolo lernt später Ida kennen, eine junge Schauspielerin, die ihm hilft, Mavi zu finden.
