RDA, fin des années 1970. Ingrid quitte son travail à l’usine pour réaliser son rêve : devenir chanteuse. Elle part en tournée avec le groupe Die Tornados, se produisant sous son nom de scène Sunny. Mais la jeune femme n’est pas au bout de ses peines, entre concerts sous haute tension et déboires sentimentaux.
