Doué d’une dextérité extraordinaire, Michel considère le vol à la tire comme un art. Mais le jeune homme a beau croire que son talent le place au-dessus des lois, cela ne l’empêche pas de se faire arrêter ni de recommencer. La dévotion qu’il porte à son « art », devenu quasi obsessionnelle, ne tarde pas à le détourner de son entourage.
