Shanghaï, à la fin du XIXe siècle. Les hommes partagent leur temps entre le mahjong, l’opium et les courtisanes surnommées les “fleurs”. Cloîtrée dans cette maison close, Jasmin attend ainsi chaque jour l’arrivée de son protégé, Wang. Mais la jalousie va bientôt empoisonner son quotidien.
