Après avoir passé la majeure partie de sa vie en prison, Frank est bien décidé à se ranger et à fonder une famille. En attendant le casse qui lui permettra de se retirer de la circulation, il continue ses activités de perceur de coffre-forts tout en étant à la tête d’une société écran. Léo, l’un des patrons de la mafia locale, lui propose alors un gros coup à Los Angeles.
