Cody Jarett est un criminel hors du commun. Hyper violent et démoniaque, il est souvent en proie à de violentes migraines et à des crises d’épilepsie. La seule personne qui l’apaise n’est pas son épouse mais sa mère, la tyrannique Ma, à qui il voue un véritable culte. Lorsque Cody se retrouve en prison pour purger une petite peine, il apprend que sa femme et son bras-droit l’ont trahi. Aidé de Pardo, son compagnon de cellule, Cody organise sa vengeance. Mais il ne se doute pas que son complice est en fait un policier sous couverture…
