James Parker, un aventurier, part à la conquête de la jungle africaine, persuadé qu’elle renferme un cimetière d’éléphants et donc un trésor d’ivoire. Sa fille Jane le rejoint et souhaite faire partie de l’expédition. Mais de temps à autre, un cri lointain perce le silence de la jungle, et Jane sera la première à en découvrir l’origine...
