Le Mystère Picasso

Picasso's steady, limber stroke draws on a movie screen turned canvas, to the solitary sound of a rasping charcoal. As the second painting (the harbinger of a dozen others) takes shape, orchestrated music accompanies the mysterious pathways of artistic creation. Clouzot films a painter at work for the first time, taking the viewer on a journey to the heart of the slow and difficult birth of Picasso's art.
