Anyone who wears the Mask sees his personality heightened: a boon for Stanley Ipkiss, who then manages to overcome his shyness and approach the one of his heart, the singer Tina Carlyle. But that was without taking into account her lover, an unscrupulous gangster, and Inspector Kellaway...
Note :Jim Carrey gives body to the mask, very literally, deploying all his art of burlesque transformation with outsized elastic facial expressions. Blending into the world of comics from which The Mask is derived, and tends towards the cartoonish characters of the classics of American animation—from Tex Avery to Looney Tunes.
