Bruno is 14. When his grandmother dies, he returns to live in Bagnolet with his mother who is so rarely there that he never sees her. He has the mind of a 7-year-old, and finds himself in classroom of pupils who all share the same learning problems. He meets Jean-Roger, the “terror” of the teacher and the rest of the school, who then introduces him to a group of violent, wild delinquents, Mina’s Gang.
