Kafka's Dream
by Sieglinde Hamacher0h081989Germany
Collection Sieglinde HamacherKafka sees a waitress nibbling from a pot, which she is about to serve. In violent indignation, he complains. His complaint is upheld, and the girl is sentenced to be stoned. Kafka protests, saying he hadn't meant to trigger this, but stones are thrown at the waitress all the more vigorously. Kafka, powerless against the machinery that has been set in motion, takes his own life. Meanwhile, the girl is restored to health and sent back to serve with the pot.
