In a French boys&#x27; school, three friends form a secret society. Their objective - going to America. At night, after one of their secret meetings, one of them sees a man coming out from a wall. Paul Braconnier is going through living hell with his wife, an alcoholic shrew. They are both trying to do away with each other. Paul goes to see a famous lawyer, who unwittingly tells him how to commit the crime. So Paul goes on, kills his wife and gives himself up to the police.
