La douce Kitty Kelly vit recluse dans un couvent. Un prince libertin, Wolfram, promis à la reine du royaume, l'aperçoit au détour d'un chemin de campagne. Obsédé par la jeune fille, il décide de l'enlever. De retour au palais, la souveraine découvre la jeune fille et, furieuse, fait enfermer le prince et chasse la jeune fille.
