Partie 3 : La Prière du soldat
Vaincus par l'armée soviétique, Kaji et quelques soldats parcourent les plaines de Mandchourie, luttant pour leur survie. Faits prisonniers dans un camp russe, les conditions de vie et de détention sont de plus en plus pénibles. Brisé, Kaji n'a plus la force de se battre.
Notes : La Condition de l’homme est une fresque historique se déroulant entre 1943 et 1945 adaptée du roman autobiographique de Junpei Gomikawa. Le film est divisé en trois parties : Il n'y a pas de plus grand amour, Le chemin de l'éternité et La prière du soldat.
